Ashbank Veterinary Centre is delighted to offer Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) scanning to our patients and those of local referring vets!
We are proud to be one of a very few centres in Scotland to offer both MRI and CT as a regular service. This allows us to provide the most advanced diagnostic imaging technique to our clients.
We have a high quality mobile MRI and CT facility visiting our Laurieston practice on a regular basis. Our staff along with experienced advanced imaging staff ensure we get the best possible results and diagnoses from your pet.
MRI involves no radiation and is harmless to your pet yet allows us to see in great detail areas of your pet's body that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to image. MRI has proved particularly useful in imaging of spines, joints and brains but can be used to obtain precise diagnostic images of a wide variety of areas of your pet.
Referal is available through your veterinary surgeon.
CT scanning is an extremely useful tool in many conditions particularly those involving bones and joints where a 3-dimensional image of the area can be quickly built up. This allows our vets to formulate the very best treatment options for your pet.
